Sara-Christin Richter (*1990 in Leipzig) is a freelance illustrator and puppet maker.       She has been building figures since childhood and is strongly influenced by puppet theater. The interest in the figure in art has accompanied her through her studies of art education and children's book illustration in Dresden, New York and Hamburg and finds its way into her illustrations.                                                                                                              In the summer of 2021, she illustrated the book "Annette, Querkus und die wilden Worte," written by Cornelia Funke. For the new permanent exhibition of the Günter Grass House in Lübeck, Richter built three key scenes of the novel "The Tin Drum" in the form of puppet dioramas. Since October 2022, she has held a teaching position for puppet illustration at HAW Hamburg. November 2022 she won the "Oldenburger Kinder-und Jugendbuchpreis".
